The following is a list of resources from a Christian perspective towards Same-Sex Attraction (SSA). These resources are to provide support to anyone who is struggling to discern his or her convictions regarding SSA.

We know this topic can be painful, whether for you or someone you love experiencing SSA. For anyone who is not a Christian, our hope is that you would see God’s love and character, not one of condemnation but of delight.

Books

Hands down, this is the first book I recommend to individuals who are first starting to think about this topic. It is short, easy to read and Scripture based. Sam does a fantastic job of explaining a very controversial topic and you get some of his personal story which is an added bonus. This is also a good book you could use to discuss the topic with someone or have a discussion group around. I highly recommend this book and his website: livingout.org.

If you are a fan of any of Jackie’s other works you will also like this book. She does a fantastic job of interweaving her personal narrative with God’s grand story and Scripture. I tore through this book and quickly passed it along for others to enjoy. Jackie’s writing style is very similar to the way she speaks, it has a beautiful, poetic cadence to it that draws you in.

Online Resources

I met the Executive Director of Harvest USA at a conference last year and she was so friendly and inviting. Especially for dealing with so many difficult topics. She handled everything with grace. I chatted with her for a little bit after a break out session and it gave me so much respect and admiration for her and her organization. No matter what issues you are dealing with or what your age check them out. They offer a wide variety of resources for all!
