ABOUT CITY SCHOOLHOUSE
City Schoolhouse is a neighborhood private school where students come to learn academic, social, and practical life skills. Class sizes range from 10-15 students with two teachers. City Schoolhouse teaches in developmental age groups, and their teaching is inspired by successful Montessori teaching techniques as well as other best practices for hands-on learning. They incorporate day-to-day practical living skills that their students often do not learn at home.
YOUR INTERNSHIP ROLE
Come alongside City Schoolhouse in accomplishing their mission to strengthen children and families by empowering them through active and individualized education, fostering a love of learning, and renewing the community through its people. Serve for a year as an assistant classroom teacher or help out with their summer camps in the summer!
DURING THIS INTERNSHIP, YOU WILL:
- Assist with classroom management
- Invest in kids and build meaningful relationships
• Year Long Interns will have the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Classroom Teacher
• Year Long Interns will help with individual and small group instruction
• Year Long Interns will possibly lead students in specialized instruction in an area where you already have expertise (cooking, music, art, sports, computer skills, etc)
THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF:

- You are a self-starter and are able to jump in wherever needed
- You are highly flexible and okay in a fast paced environment
- You desire to share Christ with students and their families

WHAT ELSE WILL I EXPERIENCE BY SERVING WITH LTN?
LTN is a full-immersion urban missions experience. In addition to serving 20-30 hours a week with a nonprofit, missionaries will also spend time doing neighborhood outreach as well as investing in their own personal development and growth.
